There is no reception and you never have to wait for anyone. The key lives in a lockbox mounted on the wall beside the apartment door, and we send you the code before you travel. Arrive at any hour you like.

Yes — private parking on both sides of the street, immediately after you come out of the tunnel. If you would rather not pay, the surrounding streets are free and you can often find a space with a little luck.

Tirana International Airport is 13 km away, roughly 25 to 35 minutes by taxi depending on traffic. The airport bus also runs to the city centre and stops a short walk from the apartment.

Do not flag one down on the boulevard — you will pay double. Use an app: Patoko or Vrapon both work like Uber and show you the fare first. If you would rather not install anything, Green Taxi (green.al) and Blue Taxi take bookings over WhatsApp and by phone, which is often the easiest thing at four in the morning. Any of them to the airport costs far less than the drivers waiting outside arrivals.

Yes. You are one street back from the boulevard, in a residential courtyard with security on the door — so you get the centre of Tirana without the noise of it. Tunel is a six-minute walk when you want a late night, and Blloku about fifteen.

Albania uses the lek. Cards work in restaurants, supermarkets and hotels, but keep some cash for small cafes, byrek counters, taxis and markets. Exchange offices in the centre give better rates than the airport and much better than your bank at home — ask us and we will point you at a good one near the apartment.
